Link Code Generator is committed to protecting the privacy and rights of all users under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights.

Data Minimization Principle

Our 30+ link and QR code tools run entirely in your browser — we do not transmit or store URLs, phone numbers, messages, or any content you enter into our free tools. No account is required to use any tool on this site.

If You Create an Account

If you sign in with Google to save dynamic QR codes or access your Dashboard, we collect only the minimum data provided by Google OAuth: your name, email address, and profile photo. We do not have access to your Google password or any other account data.

Dynamic QR Codes (Pro Users)

When you create a Dynamic QR Code, we store the destination URL you provide, the QR code configuration, and an aggregate scan count. Scan counts are a simple integer counter — we do not log individual scan events, visitor IP addresses, or device details.

Payment Processing

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details — all payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status.

Cookies We Use

We use the following cookies: (1) Authentication session cookies set by NextAuth to keep you signed in. (2) A language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers the language you selected — this does not identify you and contains no personal data. (3) Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate site traffic, with IP anonymization enabled.

Your Rights Under GDPR

  • Right to Access: View all your saved QR codes and data directly in your Dashboard.
  • Right to Rectification: Edit the destination URL and settings of any saved QR code at any time.
  • Right to Erasure: Contact us to have your account and all associated data permanently deleted within 72 hours.
  • Right to Data Portability: Export your QR code configurations from your Dashboard at any time.
  • Right to Object: You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
