How to Add a Logo to Your QR Code
Step-by-step guide to adding your company logo, icon, or image to a QR code — free, no account needed.
Why Add a Logo?
Adding your brand logo to a QR code increases recognition, trust, and scan rates. Studies show that branded QR codes get scanned up to 80% more often than generic black-and-white codes.
Who Can Add a Logo?
Logo upload is available on the Free plan and Pro plan (a free account is required). Sign in with Google in the top-right corner to unlock logo uploads — it takes under 30 seconds and costs nothing.
How to Add a Logo — Step by Step
- Open the QR Code Generator
- Sign in with Google (free) if you haven't already
- Enter your URL in the main input field
- In the Design panel, scroll to the Logo section
- Click Upload Logo and select your image file (PNG, JPG, or SVG recommended)
- Adjust the logo size using the slider — the preview updates live
- Download your branded QR code
Logo File Tips
- Use a square image for best results
- PNG with a transparent background looks best over any QR code color
- Keep the logo small — no more than 25% of the QR code area — to maintain scannability
- Avoid overly detailed logos; simple, high-contrast icons work best
Does a Logo Affect Scannability?
QR codes are designed with error correction built in — up to 30% of the code can be covered and still scan correctly. Our tool sets the error correction level automatically to maintain reliable scanning even with a logo overlay.
