The timestamp is burned into the code as a UTC millisecond value, so the expiration is globally consistent across all time zones. A user in Tokyo and one in New York will see the offer expire at exactly the same moment.

Does this use server time or client time?
Client time. The snippet compares the UTC expiration timestamp against the visitor's browser clock (Date.now()). This is reliable for nearly all legitimate use cases, but can technically be bypassed by manually changing the system clock. For critical e-commerce deadlines, use a server-side solution instead.
Can I use this with any website platform?
Yes. Any platform that lets you inject custom HTML or JavaScript into the <head> tag will work — including WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, ClickFunnels, Leadpages, and raw HTML pages.
Does the generator work in the user's local timezone?
Yes. The tool converts your local datetime input to a UTC millisecond timestamp. The snippet compares this against the visitor's system clock in UTC as well, so a 11:59 PM EST deadline correctly expires at the right time no matter where the visitor is located.
